Silent Auction for Low Vision Room

The Bedford Public Library has gradually been adding Assistive Technology for their low vision users after two successful Low Vision Fairs over the past three years. The next step is to have a room dedicated to the latest technology in the new library for low vision readers to utilize while at the library and in limited cases some of the technology will be available for check out.

On November 20th, the library will have some of the technology on display that through fundraising efforts by the Bedford Library Foundation will hopefully become a reality. Along with the display there will be a silent auction with all funds dedicated to purchase of equipment.

Refreshments will be served and we hope you will invite you friends for this special event. The Bedford Public Library is taking the lead and will be the only library in our area accommodating people with low vision and those losing their vision.

Shout Out to Girl Scout Troop 1315

Thank you to Girl Scout Troop 1315 for collecting books for the new Bedford Public Library. The books not added to the collection will be sold by the Bedford Library Friends to buy new books. We appreciate Troop 1315 for applying their Girl Power to assist the new Library!

Your Name at the New Library

Preserve your family name, honor a loved one, recognize a business or give a lasting gift to someone special by ordering an engraved brick to enhance the outdoor settings at the new Bedford Public Library. Engraved bricks will be placed in the sculptural gardens surrounding the new facility. Bricks can be purchased in two sizes.
