Bedford Library Goes to the Dogs!

READ2Rover is a program that encourages children to read by providing a nonjudgemental listener and furry friend to read to. Dogs won't laugh at them if they make a mistake or stumble over a word, but rather sit next to them and enjoy being read to. This relationship between child and dog enables the child to gain a positive attitude about reading, improves reading skills, builds confidence, and the enjoyment of reading. Registration is requried for this free program. Call 817-952-2372 to register.

Dates:
Sunday, September 27
Sunday, October 25
Sunday, November 22
Time: 1:30-3:00pm

Dogs will be provided by Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs. Bedford's visiting dogs will be Jake, Mocha and Paisley who is pictured above.

TeenFest Fun

TeenFest was a total blast for the 52 teens who attended the event on July 31. Duane Wieland from Challenge Incentives was our hero for providing the munchies. The candy sushi was to die for and everyone had fun with making bracelets, bookmarks and getting tattoos. Thanks to our very own Bedford Library Friends for underwriting TeenFest. This will be an annual event so be sure and join us next year!
