The library is conducting its annual survey to assess quality of service, programs, materials and hours of operation. Please take a moment to fill out the survey to let us know how we are performing. Survey results help us set budget priorities for the next fiscal year. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete online. It is also available in print.

Delayed Opening on Wednesday, January 28

Due to inclement weather, the City of Bedford has delayed opening until noon. The Bedford Public Library will be open from 12:00 - 9:00 pm today.

Free Tax Help

It's tax season again. Don't suffer by yourself - get help! Bedford Public Library and AARP Tax-Aid will provide free tax preparation. There are no age or economic restrictions for this service. Due to time constraints, tax services for businesses cannot be provided. To guarantee an appointment you must call 817-952-2342 to register.

Wireless access at the Library

Hey all laptop users! Did you know that Bedford Public Library is a Wi-Fi hotspot? Don't fool with those places where you have to pay for access - come to the library for your free high-speed wireless Internet access. And now you can even do wireless printing. You do need to have a Bedford Library card to use the hotspot. Learn more about wireless access.

Love Your Library Valentine Story Time

Enjoy a story time for the whole family on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the Bonnie Finn Room.

Learn Excel @ Bedford Library

Did you know that Excel is more than a spreadsheet program? You can use it to manage a budget, create an address book or keep a household inventory list for insurance purposes.

Bedford Library and Dr. Cagan will present a free workshop on how you can better utilize Excel software at home or work. Bring your own laptop if you are working on a project or use a library laptop. Registration is required for this free program. Call 817-952-2342 to register.

Library Card Design Contest

Attention all budding artists and graphic designers between the ages of 5 and 100 - the Bedford Library will be moving to a new building so help us create a new look by designing our new card.

Designs should be related to the library or reading in general. All entries must be original and the entrant’s own work. We encourage creativity; any 2-D medium is acceptable artwork. The winning design will become the face of our new card.

All entries must be received in hardcopy format by February 26, 2009. Winners will be announced at our Celebrate Seuss Festival on Sunday, March 1st.
