The Friends of the Bedford Library are hosting an intimate evening with Texas’ own Mary Rogers, former lifestyle columnist and feature writer for the Star-Telegram. The event will take place at the Old Bedford School on Saturday, October 25 from 6:30 - 9:00 pm.
Ms. Rogers will discuss and read excerpts from her book, Dancing Naked: Memorable Encounters with Unforgettable Texans. Published in the Star-Telegram from 1991 through 2007, the stories of Dancing Naked present a compelling look at a variety of Texans (a few famous, and all unforgettable) and include a half-dozen essays from Rogers about her own colorful life. It's a collection that will touch and inspire every reader, which is what fine writing is
supposed to accomplish.
Tickets are $6 each or 2 tickets for $10. You can purchase tickets in advance at Bedford Public Library, 1805 L. Don Dodson Drive, Bedford, TX 76021. Tickets will be $6 at the door the evening of the event. Refreshments are included in the ticket price.
All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Bedford Library a 501(c)3 organization.
Old Bedford School is located at 2400 School Lane, Bedford, TX 76021.
